Military-Grade, Industrial-Grade, and Commercial-Grade
Military-Grade – Used in military equipment such as missiles, satellites, tanks, and aircraft carriers. Every electronic component in these systems is the most advanced, surpassing industrial-grade by 10 years and commercial-grade by around 20 years. They are the most expensive and offer the highest precision.
Industrial-Grade – Slightly lower in grade than military-grade, with relatively lower cost and precision.
Commercial-Grade – The most common type found on the market, used in devices like computers and smartphones. For example, Microsoft’s chips can be considered the "military-grade" of commercial-level components—affordable, widely available, and highly practical.
Operating Temperature Range
Commercial-grade devices: 0°C to +70°C
Industrial-grade devices: -40°C to +85°C
Military-grade devices: -55°C to +150°C
Additionally, some components have an automotive industrial-grade range of -40°C to +125°C.
However, LCD modules are categorized into two temperature types: operating temperature and storage temperature. Generally, the operating temperature for LCD modules is -20°C to +70°C, while the storage temperature ranges from -30°C to +80°C.
